White walnut Louis XV armoire, c. 1760. Characteristic of armoires from the Poitou, Vendée and Saintonge region are the chantourné (turned on all sides) panels seen here. Original brass escutcheons and brass fiche hinges complement the finish of the wood. The darker top edge of the piece provides a beautiful contrast to the lighter walnut. Claw feet and scalloped edge base.
Restoration and waxing included upon purchase.
